Church Tradition

Healing is at the very heart of the mission of the Church.  Whenever we gather in prayer at mass we call on God to heal us.  The Penitential Rite at mass calls on Jesus to heal us as we pray.  The church has two sacrament assiciated with healing, Penance and Anointing of the sick.  In Penance we confess our sins and ask for God's forgiveness and mercy.  In The Annointing of the sick prayer and sared oil is used to ask for healing and strength.
